But the Elves story did not begin in 2017. It began many years earlier, deep inside the world of ODM frame development and manufacturing for leading global cycling brands.
This is the true history of Elves Bikes, and why our experience, philosophy, and mission make us different.
Long before Elves Bikes launched, the founders were already at the heart of the bicycle industry. They spent years designing ODM carbon frames for internationally recognised cycling brands, refining their skills in aerodynamics, carbon layup strategy, stiffness optimisation, and modern frame integration.
In 2006, they expanded from pure design into full manufacturing, producing high performance frames for many of the world’s leading brands. These years of experience gave them a deep understanding of:
How top tier carbon frames are engineered
How retail pricing becomes inflated
Where value is lost between factories and consumers
What riders truly want from a performance bike
This insight would later become the foundation of Elves Bikes.
2017, THE LAUNCH OF ELVES BIKES — A BRAND WITH A DIFFERENT MISSION
After more than a decade of building frames for other brands, the founders believed it was time for a change. If they could make world class carbon frames for global companies, why not make them available directly to riders at a fair, honest price?
In 2017, Elves Bikes was officially launched & the mission was simple and bold:
"to challenge the price point for performance and give riders access to engineering usually reserved for premium brands".
Elves started with a clear purpose — performance without the impossible price tag.
Every Elves frame uses advanced Toray carbon, refined geometries, and aerodynamically informed shaping. Years of OEM and ODM experience meant Elves already understood how to compete with the biggest brands from day one.
Milestone platforms included:
Vanyar – our ultra lightweight climbing frame
Falath EVO Falath EXP – aero road bikes redefining value
Mori AeroX – adventure meets aero in the gravel world
Eglath ARX & Avair Pro– modern all round road performance

These frames quickly helped Elves stand out as a serious performance engineering company, not just a value alternative.
Elves made a disruptive decision early on: custom paint would be included for free.
While major brands charge hundreds or thousands for bespoke colours, Elves chose to empower riders by offering personalisation without penalty. This became a signature feature of the brand and a core part of our history.
With no reliance on large dealership networks, Elves grew through rider relationships, transparency, and community. Customers began sharing their builds, stories, and custom paint designs across the world. From the UK and Europe to America, Australia, and Asia, riders recognised that Elves Bikes offered the rare combination of premium engineering + personalisation + fair pricing. The community became our voice, our advocates, and our proof that the industry needed change.
